For about a month i have had a pain in the bottom of my spine?

i have felt pain in the bottom of my spine, which i can feel with my hand its between my and lower backside. i can feel a bone or something there and hurt when i sit, bend, stand, pretty much any mov- ement. i have a doctors appointment in a few days but does anyone know how i can ease the pain or possible stop it? or whats wrong?
