Sounds like a great idea, and good on yer!! Yes I do think you will need to get registered. As far as raisng funds, ask friends and family to supply a tin of something each ie peas, carrots, peaches anything edible, and hey presto you have a hamper for a raffle, and it cost you nothing, so ALL your profit goes to your charity.
