Blu ray player update......?

i think ive had this bluray player for about a year , its a BD P1600 and ive never updated it before. So far I put the firmware update into the usb and all the steps are working but on the last step it is taking FOREVER to update. Is this normal? It's been over 1 hour when it said it should only be 2-3 minutes before shutting off automatically.
