You know that movie hostage with bruce willis?

I dont understand the ending. did the dad of the 2 kids turn on him after he saved them? like when they went to get bruces wife and kids from the bad guy the dad of the kids he saved told the bad guys to shoot bruce. and then all the bad guys died everyone got in the car and drove away like a big happy family
