Why do so many people dislike George Bush so much?

The criticism of Bush started before he was in office. He was a successful Gov of TX with a good economy but very conservative. I remember when he started his campaign there were articles about him. They started telling us about his wild drunken days then moved into articles that stated he was not smart. He really never developed the charisma in front of the camera and flubbed his lines. A lot of people took this as proof.
