Is it safer to stay in a high-rise building during a major earthquake if you're in the sky scr district ?

i'm on the 8th floor. there is no emergency staircase. i'm worried about this building collapsing and falling when i'm inside. it is reinforced concrete but maybe 20-25 yrs old ?
