How many years before a couple should/coudl get married?

i was with my husband 4 years before we got married, we were engaged after about 2 1/2, he was my first boyfriend so we were in high school, and you can't really get married in high school without parental consent lol, but i knew after the first few weeks that he was the one i wanted to spend my life with and that feeling has never changed, but it's always good to wait a few years because sometimes after all of the new relationship feeling is over with you realize that they aren't the one for you and it wasn't really true love but you know everyone is different sometimes you just have to go for it and i'd wait a while because if you love each other so much now, you will still love him in 2 years so it's alot safer that way
