As A Messianic Jewish teacher and pastor, can I be addressed as Rabbi?

The term Rabbi to the best of my knowledge is a term that came from the Pharisees. The sects that came from them such as Orthodox, Conservative, Messianic, etc. are the only ones that use this term. To the best of my knowledge Karaites, Beta Israel, etc. do not use this term. The Pharisees no longer exist. I think it would be better for the Messianic Jews to drop this term to be in greater harmony with the larger Jewish community that existed through time.
