Going down under next week. Don't know much about it except for kangaroos. Is that all I can see there ?

WOW!!!, no way, you will see tonnes, depending on where you are going, in sydney there is the harbour bridge and opera house, melbourne the shrine of rememberance, queensland has gold coast, come to perth ( where i live) awesome beaches in summer, for wildlife you would be better off going to the zoo or in perth there is the caversham wildlife park
